My name is Marlen Mansfeld. I’ve started taking videos of dogs in 2012 and it’s been my biggest passion ever since. After offering client videos for several years, I’ve started guiding fellow dog photographers into the world of videography and have been teaching in person and online for the past 6 years.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Who is the workshop for: <\/strong>
This workshop is for everyone who knows the basics of (dog) photography and wants to create even more lively memories of their own dogs or for clients.<\/p>

Previous knowledge\/conditions: <\/strong>
You don’t need to have any prior knowledge of videography. However, you should be familiar with the basics of photography and know your own camera well. This will allow you to make the most of the coaching and get straight into practice.
Ideally, you own a mirrorless camera that allows you to record video in at least 100fps. Alternatively, a DSLR camera works as well.<\/p>

Workshop days:
<\/strong>The workshop is split into two days and you can either only attend the first day, or both together.
Day 1 is about filming emotional dog videos in nature, whereas Day 2 is specifically about filming action videos in Agility.
Each day consists of around 3 to 4 hours of learning.
Day 2 can not be attended individually, since it’s based on the knowledge you learned on the previous day.

Models:<\/strong>
I will organize dogs and their owners to model for us. Your own dogs won’t model for us, since it’s already hard enough to concentrate on learning and it’s easier for you if you don’t have to manage your own dogs at the same time.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Day 1: Emotional dog videos in nature<\/strong>
Day 1 is all about getting familiar with videography and learning to film emotional dog videos in nature.
In a theoretical part I teach you about frame rates, how the shutter speed works in video, how you make sure to get enough video clips from a session and how to guide your models.\u00a0
In the practical part, we go out in nature with several dog models and their owners. I show you how I handle my camera, focus, stabilize and add movement into my clips. I’ll show you how to record creative and moving clips yourself and give you valuable tips on how to capture the emotions and characteristics of your dog model.<\/p>

Day 2: Action videos in Agility<\/strong>
Day 2 comes with more action. Here you get to apply your knowledge from the previous day in sports. Everything is a lot faster in Agility, but I’ll teach you how to capture the dogs’ movement in a cinematic way on different obstacles and how to bring diversity into your videos.
Depending on the weather conditions, we will either shoot indoors or outdoors.<\/p>

Online coaching as a supplement:<\/strong>
Included in the price, you will receive the shooting parts of both my online classes “Videography Class” and “Agility videography”, as well as PDF files with the most important notes on what you’ve learned.
As video editing is difficult to teach in a face-to-face coaching session and is a skill best learned at your leisure on your computer, I offer you the opportunity to purchase my online coaching at a discount afterwards so you can master the editing process at your own pace.<\/p>

After the workshop:
<\/strong>Some parts of filming will only make sense to you after editing. It’s a constant learning process and there will probably be a lot of questions coming up for you. After the workshop, I will always be available for smaller questions and check-ins.
